30% romance 30% nature appreciation and 40% self growth; I cried, I couldn’t put it down, I liked it a lot more than the movie.
Moderate: Abandonment
Minor: Alcoholism, Suicide, and Injury/Injury detail

Not fave and not my least fave. An inspiring wholesome read. I enjoyed the different characters growth on the trip and the love story was cute. Nothing smutty if that is what you are looking for.
Minor: Mental illness and Suicide

Having loved How to Walk Away and Things We Save in the Fire, I wanted to read Katherine Center's backlist. While I didn't love this one like I love the aforementioned books, I did enjoy this. I wasn't a fan of Helen in the beginning, but she gradually grew on me. The timeline of the story moves very quickly which is both a positive and negative. Center doesn't linger on unnecessary details, but it means that relationships and feelings are accelerated. Some aspects of the book were predictable, however I did enjoy the journey. There was also a conversation at the end of the book, that punched me in the gut as it related to my feelings, so I was sobbing at the end. The book isn't sad, but it does touch on internal feels and certain topics which may be sensitive to some people.
All in all, while it has its flaws, if you are fan of Katherine Center, I recommend this.
