Gosh I love shinji and urahara.

Bit a slow down for me, this volume was interesting but not as fantastic as the last few volumes have been. Ichigo, Renji, and Rukia's descent down from the palace is perfection though.

The one in which Captain Wolfhead becomes Captain Buff The Undead Guy but then turns into Captain Fully A Wolf. Lesson learned: vengeance is bad, unless it isn't? Who cares! At least we don't have to hear anyone ever mutter the name BAMBIETTA BASTERBINE again, for fuck's sake.

Meanwhile, Renji, Rukia and Ichigo get even dumber outfits. Is that a fucking zebra stripe cloak? WHY WOULD YOU EVER THINK THAT'S OKAY?

I'm still rather sad that this weak storyline is going to be the final Bleach offering. The Quincies make for rather ridiculously dull and this has become predictable as the tides. Combatants meet up, brag, spout off all their weaknesses and fight and if someone is about to die, we finally learn their history. Spoilers from here on out!



This time it's Sajin (not that he's dying...maybe but changing definitely). While I enjoyed learning about him I am confused. I thought he was a fox-type spirit but now he's a werewolf? Um, okay. Seriously has that supposed to have been a wolf head all this time? I don't know.

I did like Toshiro's fight but I like him a lot. Frankly the most interesting thing was what Kisuke Urahara did which helped to turn the tide.

The last villain patterned after a Mexican wrestler was just bad. And there'll be more of him to come. Whee.

And for those who love Ichigo, he's not really in this. Seriously. He has a few panels, arrogantly proclaims he's on the way to save the day (and he will because like I said, predictable as the tides and we do want the hero to win), and that's it.

Obviously at this point I'll see this through to the end but I'm starting to hope it comes soon.
