I loved this book. Sympathetic protagonist, great secondary and tertiary characters, good plot arc, fantastic wit, it had it all. And any writer out there would have to enjoy the references to the art, the trials, and the life. This is currently tied with The Dutch House as my favorite book of 2020, a year that most definitely requires some pleasure.

At times I felt mixed about this story, but as time went on I became more satisfied. My original frustration was rooted in one member of the love triangle this book focused on, but in the end this was the goal of the author.

A story about a woman in her early thirties dealing with grief, childhood trauma, debt, and job stress. Overall a readable book I enjoyed.

I really enjoyed listening to this book and loved the main character and her struggle to find her footing with real life. I love all the references to books and writers and the art of writing too.

Raw and mesmerizing, albeit stressful.
