I think I bought this book in 2013 on my first visit to the UK. Edited by Stephen Darlington and Alan Kreider, it came out of a conference in 2000 at the Centre for Christianity and Culture at Regent's Park College, Oxford (which centre has, in an odd synchronicity, just relaunched on 18 January 2021). My particular interests were in the essays by composers Howard Goodall and James MacMillan, along with John Bell on lament and Janet Wootton on "the future of the hymn." I re-read those essays and others over the years and now close the book as I move into retirement.
