Soft review/rating:

I have listened to this multiple times since purchasing it. I love the story of Mike Talbot and his family. The narrator does an excellent job as well. I don't always have an opportunity to review books right away but I am hoping to get a Firm review by the end of the year and complete my challenge.

Okay, remember how I said I "may" read the rest of the series? I'm two books in now, so I might as well trudge ahead. I have to know what happens to Tommy!!

I loved the sardonic qualities of the protagonist, albeit bigoted at times.
I really should not have been driving while listening to Chapter 16… I was in tears I was laughing so hard. This chapter alone gave this book the fifth star.

I enjoyed it. Didn't fly through it like I did the first book because it didn't seem to flow as easily. And at times the grammar enthusiast in me wondered if the editors had any grasp of basic grammar rules. BUT all of that is forgivable thanks to a good story line. On to book three!

Second go around with this series. I laughed and cried just as much as I did the first time!!

Much much better than book 1. I'm glad I continued on.
Writing was cleaner, sharper. Becoming a big fan of this author.
