I absolutely love to see a healthy display of people making sure they are in a good position to be with someone. Rather then the whole "oh we love each other to the struggles from our trauma will just go away"

This book was a fantastic and captivating read. It deviated from the lightheartedness of the previous books delving into deeper and more serious themes.

The story introduces a manipulative character who becomes the source of conflict for Remy. The extent of his manipulations becomes evident only in hindsight, adding to the narrative's intensity. I haven't wanted bad things to happen to a character in a long time.

Remy and Sanden, colleagues from different firefighter houses, share a delightful mutual attraction, but circumstances and dealing with childhood trauma complicate their relationship. The book skillfully explores emotional baggage while balancing romance and produces a thought-provoking and well-written love story.

Despite the serious undertones, there are still moments of humor and enjoyable appearances by familiar characters from the hockey world. They receive their well-deserved HEA, but only after they have to fight for it.
