The blurb of this one had me intrigued. I really liked the sound of Axel. Plus when it said gentle giant I knew I had to read this one. I mean the cover alone would draw anyone in. On a day the could have gone so much worse for Emelie turned out to be her path to forever. After what she went through she so deserved a man like Axel. That man knows how to treat a woman right. His momma had taught him well. This adventure Emelie finds herself on shows her new sides of her. I wouldn't mind being stuck up in the mountains in a cabin with Axel. A great read that satisfies my mountain man fantasy. I gobbled this one right up!

Requires a willing suspension of disbelief, but a fun read.

I do note that, as a short female, that some authors need to try out or ask us how stuff works when there is a significant size difference....

The sentence structure is really clunky and its more showing than telling all the way through. Except for how horny they are, then its basically just describing how hard or wet they are since there is nothing in the way of talk about that going on before she rubs herself on him while he is (presumably) still asleep. Ew.
Also he calls her Little One, which kind of needs its own trigger warning by now. At one point he talks about her "little body" pressing into him.

Overall it's cute, love the happy ending but its just not my style of story telling.

I kept seeing the ads on FB trying to get me to buy this series. Well, clearly it worked! And I have loved all of the books in this series. I love me a rugged, troubled mountain man.

DNF chapter 12. I liked the story fine but didn't like the deer killing.
