A fun romantic story with a typical story line. But as usual, sweet romance novels are fun to read and gives a nice feeling at the end of the story. The same was the case with Batter Up.
Knowing that there are more stories to come about Abby and the other girls just made it even better

Light Read

This book is a fun, quick read. Definitely follows your normal romance plot line. If it we're a movie it'd be PG-13 in terms of romance.

"Somewhere that she cannot see is the man that's meant to be. Send to me her perfect match. Spell out his letters in this batch."

Emma is a witch, but not a regular witch. The only magic she does is the Batter Up spell, which shows the name of the woman each man is meant to be with. Jason is a reporter, who happens to meet a couple that got together because of the spell. Then he sets out to Buttermilk Falls with the intention of exposing Emma for what he thinks she is–a fraud. Things don't go quite as planned, though.

I've read several books since I read this one, so I don't remember too many details, but the one thing I remember the most is how cute and pink everything was.

This is not a book that takes itself too seriously, but instead is light-hearted 95% of the time and makes you feel really happy.

There was one thing that bothered me a lot when I first read this book,
Spoiler and that's a character who seemed to exist just to torture the main character. That doesn't change in this book but begins to change in the second and definitely in the third.
So in the end, this ended up not bothering me anymore.

I would absolutely recommend this book if you are looking for something that will make you smile and fall in love with the idea of love.

Emma Stevens has a secret, one she doesn't want reporter Jason Levine to find out. So when he shows up at her counter wanting to know everything about her bakery, Emma will do just about anything to keep him away. Unfortunately for her, Emma is just as drawn to Jason as much as she wants to push him away. Lucky for him, that means he won't be tasting her "new" cupcake flavor anytime soon. After a small town carnival and bachelor auction, word gets around that there might be something other than flour in the air between Emma and Jason. Will Emma's secret batter predict happiness for these two?

Oh, my gosh! This book was absolutely adorable. Batter Up is a sweet romance with a set of crazy adorable characters. Emma doesn't quite know what to think of Jason. She's immediately drawn to him, but the moment she finds out that he's a reporter, she's determined to make him stay away. She helps all the bachelors in her small town to find their soul mate and she's thrown for a loop when her potential match steps into her life. Emma cracked me up. I adore her. She's sweet and caring to those she loves, but she'll turn on you in an instant the moment you cross her. I loved Jason and felt he was a perfect match for Emma. He started as a skeptic, but it didn't take long for Emma and the town of Buttermilk Falls to win him over. As a couple, I loved Emma and Jason together. I smiled during Emma's bidding war. I cringed during the kissing booth (poor Jason!). I just thought they were so cute together. The secondary and background characters were a lovely supporting cast for Jason and Emma. I loved their friends. They were both supportive and willing to kick some butt if it was needed. Buttermilk Falls is definitely a small town I would love to visit. It is filled to the brim with crazy lovable citizens, each with their own matchmaking story to tell.

Everything about Batter Up was adorable. From the cover to the characters to the small town setting, everything felt as if I stepped into a Hallmark movie. And since I have a deep love of Hallmark movies, Batter Up was right up my alley. I would love to read more about the citizens of Buttermilk Falls, especially a pair of friends whose budding romance appeared towards the end of Batter Up.

Okay, this was completely a cute, fluffy read. But what could be expected from a series titled "Bachelors of Buttermilk Falls"? I liked Emma's character but not as much as I liked her feisty cousin, Abby.

More of a 3 and a half star book. Super adorable. A little magic and a lot of romance.

I just didn’t care for this one. It was cute, just a little too predictable and the main character, Emma, jumped to way too many conclusions. I had a hard time getting into it because of that.

Despite some silliness, this was a sweet story. There was some predictability, though some surprises also. This is a series I'd actually consider continuing, though this is waaaaay off from my usual fare.
