I am currently very busy so I don’t have time to do the full review this deserves but this was amazing!!! It was informative but still digestible and engaging for younger ages; granted I’m a childless, 20 y/o, only child BUT I did baby sit a lot as a kid and I am around a fair amount of kids. I would definitely buy this for someone who has kids and I have already recommended it to a few people just over text because I really enjoyed the way that was done. The play off of the ‘Twas the night before Christmas’ was done so well and, again I’m 20 but, it made my inner child excited and I really enjoyed listening!
The narrator did a great job with using their inflection to add to the story and I really enjoyed how they did it. I do want to say that I did listen at 1.75x speed, however I do normally listen from 2x -3.5x speed, so that is a fairly slowed down pace for me; which generally for me if it isn’t a very dense and heavy book it means it was engaging enough narration wise I had to slow to get the full effects.

I received an ALC.
I will look for this book to see the illustrations as well.
Short and sweet with some easy to understand information for children to understand the origins of Pride.

A fun picture book about a family looking forward to Pride and what to expect- and why we celebrate it. I love the endpapers and I hope there's a resource page identifying the LGBTQ+ figures. As of this review, I didn't see one yet.
