A vibrant picture book that not only celebrates a family attending a Pride parade, but tells the story of the first Pride, the Stonewall riots. Wonderful reading for rainbow families and allies!

Another awesome pride book to add to my favorites! This picture book both celebrates Pride marches today and pays homage to the Stonewall Riots and those who have sacrificed for LGBTQ+ rights. I love that both the author and illustrator are members of the LGBTQ+ community.

This beautifully crafted story is shaped by a fun rhyming pattern and discusses the meaning, love, and passion behind pride month. I love that the perspective is told from a young child's point of view and also that the child is excited to share in the pride month experiences with their younger sibling. This is a fun story to share with young readers all year round.

This was very well done--I got very excited at the historical explanation of Stonewall, but wish there had been some additional information in the backmatter for families.
