This excellent series continues to go from strength to strength. The story takes several unexpected turns in this volume, and really keeps up the pace of the action. Off to read the next one!

My emotions trying to digest this book

I can't believe I spent such a large portion of my life obsessed with The Walking Dead only to discover this in 2019. This has been the best book in the series so far - with characters not only realistically equipped to deal with the Zulu Alpha or Zombie Apocalypse, but so relatable despite being well trained Marines, Seals and Troops of all countries.
The last hour of the audio book had me gripping my seat in such dread for their lives, because you know that Hamden will do what it takes to keep his team going to take the possible vaccine back to Fortress Britain and that Ally and Homer will leave each other behind if bitten, despite their burning love for each other.
The addition of Sarah is just fantastic. So far she's the only capable civilian they've encountered - resourceful and with the right amount of love for her fellow man to do whatever it takes not only to save the last pockets of civilisation, but anyone that needs help.

For poor books remember what Yoda said - "If no mistake have you made, yet losing you are ... a different game you should play!"
How I review...
1 star - binned it before half way, please don't write anymore!!!
2 stars - finally binned it after really trying, I mean really trying and I hate to not finishing someth....
