This is an area of interest in my Ph.D. work in terms of student engagement with science. This is the go-to book in terms of wrapping your head around the idea of student engagement. The book is comprised of many separate chapters that are organized into sections (assessment, for example). While there is legitimate research here, this is more of a summary-type book, and would be a great one to data-mine for articles concerning this topic.

Some chapters proved incredibly useful, but for the most part they were literature reviews on the research that has happened which is not immediately useful to my position as a classroom teacher.

An interesting look at the philosophy of technology. In contrast to science, technology has had a much more erratic history of development over the years, with the literature on classifying or interpreting what technology is being relatively scarce comparted to the literature on science

the articles here were extremely interesting, highly recommended.
