I am a fan of Brittainy Cherry's emotional writing. Northern Stars was a good addition to the Compass series. My favorite thing about it ended up being the connection between this book and the others. I liked Aidan and Hailee's story. Cherry started out the book in the past and then progressed to the future. There was a little more past than I would have liked, but it did set up a good storyline. It was sometimes hard to read the attack on Hailee's weight, but I feel like people are going to relate to it a lot. I ended up loving the way Aiden and Hailee supported each other. This was a solid read that I probably would have given 3.5 stars if it hadn't been so good at the end.
Moderate: Body shaming, Bullying, and Panic attacks/disorders
Minor: Violence and Alcohol
