The first half of this book is while they are in high school and I didn’t love that. The breakup was essentially a miscommunication. I loved the scenes of all the characters from the series getting together!

I did not love this and it is not my favorite BCC. I love her work so much, have read it all, and adored Damien’s story. This was extremely disappointing. And honestly the fatphobia is horrible I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who doesn’t want to read that.

Brittainy Cherry truly depicts love in such a beautiful way. There were paragraphs that had me "awwing" out loud.
Hailee and Aiden are childhood friends to lovers who lost their way to each other over a five-year period. This book solidifies how much they are each other's person. You finish reading and can't see them with anyone else. My favorite part of watching as they grew was Cherry's glimpses of how aspects of their childlike personalities shone through. While I loved both of their characterizations and the beautiful writing style I will warn of possible triggering content involving fatphobia and eating disorders. With such a significant focus on how Hailee was bullied about her weight and internalized these thoughts, I would have loved to see more of her individual process toward self-acceptance. Secondly, while I loved the cameo of all of my other favorite characters from this series I wish they would have been introduced sooner. Their introduction towards the end of the story slightly altered the pacing of the book that I enjoyed up until that point.

I have some mixed feelings about this book. I love Brittainy’s way of making me feel connected to her characters and sucks me into their story and world.

I loved the relationship and friendship between these two so much!!

Where I struggle is more of a me issue then anything but I’m just exhausted of all of the fat shaming in books with plus size FMCS. I love being seen in a book but hate that it’s always so triggering with all the fat shaming in them.
