"The Confession" is another legal thriller from the pen of John Gby Grisham but doesn't follow his traditional "legal" novel. This was a more heart-felt drama in which I became more emotionally attached to the characters than in other Grisham novels.

This was the best book I have read lately. Glad I got it on my Kindle so I can read it again!

this book sparked so many emotions! i was angry, hurt, offended, disgusted. yet, it was hard to put the book down. so much ignorance and injustice in this world. i had to put the book aside for a few days and come back to it! i had to finish it! i would give more than 5 stars if possible!

Notes to Mr. Grisham:
People exact revenge, they do not extract it; and they get hunger pangs, not hunger pains.
This is the first John Grisham book I've ever read and I enjoyed the story here but not necessarily the writing. I didn't feel like the characters were well developed and there didn't seem to be as much of a back story as I would have liked. Overall, if it weren't for all the smart people I know who enjoy Grisham's books, this book would leave me with the impression that Grisham's writes simple books for simple people. The story was compelling and kept me wanting to read but I came away from it with the realization that there's a good reason why his books make good movies...the kind that wouldn't anger me because so much substance from the book gets left out.
The grammatical issues are pet peeves of mine that honestly will probably keep me from reading another one of his books.

Meh. About as interesting as a doctoral thesis on the death penalty.

Ugh. Sick of Grisham's stereotyping of Texas and all the ranting against the death penalty. This is my first Grisham novel to pick up in years and it will probably be my last.

It took me almost a week to finish it.. Not because the story is bad but i'm such a slow reader, and need a full attention to read it.. Because it has so many detailed.
The first few chapter, i was a little bit confused, for the many character were introduced. But after i got into the story well, i enjoyed and hunger more about the case, Grisham's writes here.
The story itself about an Innocent boy named Dante Drumm, who was accused for the crime, that he didn't do. He accused for being rapist, and murdered his beautiful school mate Named Nicole Yarber.
HWith all humility I say thank you so much for all the attention you've given. Birthday greetings, prayers and attention you've given mean so much to me. For me the greatest happiness is not the celebration of this anniversary, but on the fact that I have so many people are so caring and sincere as you. Thank you very much for everything.
His lawyer, Robbie Flak tried his best to save Donte from the final punishment, to be in death row. After 9 years in Prison, the death sentence is closer.
Every effort and the hard work to prove his innocent is zero.. Until a man named Travis Boyette, showed himself tobadmit that he was the real murder of Nicole...
Will Donte's life could be safe ?
The story is stunning! Great Job Mr.Grisham (´๑•_•๑)
