This was a fantastic little mermaid retelling. It was mysterious, intriguing, and adventurous all in one.

I loved seeing Enna use her legs on land, it gave me quite the laugh!

Soren was charming as ever. I loved that he shamelessly tried to see more of Enna even though he knew he wasn't suppose to ! And the spice that ensued? Loved it.

This book wraps up quite nicely and it was very refreshing for a book not to end on a cliffhanger.

I would recommend this book to anyone looking for a stabby, spicy, mermaid book ! Quite a cute read

I went in with nothing but vibes. I came out pleasantly surprised! Mermaids, sirens, and sea creatures?! Absolutely here for it! This was a quick read with dual POV. I genuinely stayed intrigued the whole book, but I will admit it was predictable, buttt in the best way possible! My mood reading paid off!

I am so thankful to have gotten an ARC of this book! Little Mermaid was always one of my favorite princesses, but your girl loves a darker story now! This book was just that!

A mermaid assassin and a prince looking for a love match with some substance. This prince still has the golden retriever energy that Prince Eric had, but he isn’t wanting a silent girl using “body language” to become his queen. He wants someone who challenges him and, boy does he find that with our FMC! He falls fast and hard, and isn’t deterred by any of the FMC’s prickly traits.

It had some spicy surprises too! If you’ve ever wondered about how mermaids would spice it up in the water, then this is 100% the book for you!!

A huge thank you to Liesl West for an early copy of this book!

I loved this adult little mermaid retelling! Enna had some great character development and Soren was absolutely swoon worthy.

I hope Liesl has more books in store for us because I had a lot of fun reading this one!

I loved this dark twisted retelling of the Little Mermaid where all the characters are creatures of the deep: beasts, fish, mermaids, and sirens (there are no humans). There’s death, danger, action, blood, magic, romance, spice, and a happy ending. Despite the fact I don’t read a lot of fantasy novels, I thought the world building was excellent and not too difficult or complex to understand or follow. I really liked that Enna (FMC) was a strong female fighter and that Soren (MMC) fell first. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it!

Thank you to Liesl West for an early copy of the book. All I can say is wow! I have loved every second of this book.

Liesl West has created this amazing world and I am all in. I loved all the detailed world building and I am hoping with all my fingers and toes crossed that we will get more stories from this world.

The spice is amazing, the banter is chef’s kiss perfection, and there are moments that made me laugh out loud.

This is a book I know I will think about often and I expect I will reread it multiple times.

This book captivated me with its dark and thrilling retelling of The Little Mermaid. Enna Valomir, a deep-sea assassin, is bound by a blood oath to a mermaid, compelling her to kill the Abyssal Princess. Infiltrating a surface court disguised as the princess, she helps the mermaid win Prince Soren’s heart. However, Soren is smitten with Enna, not the false princess. As their forbidden love grows, Enna must choose between her deadly oath and protecting Soren, risking her own life. The richly woven underwater world and the intense romance kept me hooked from start to finish. A perfect read for those who love dark fantasy and mermaid tales with a twist.
