Firstly, don't buy the audio book. This is a reference book and you won't want to read all of it - but you will want access to the resources. I bought the kindle version after "reading" it with the audible version so I could get access to all the lists and product names.

I don't want to sleep in sleeping bag,
I don't want to drink cheap coffee to understand simplicity. I like my life the way it is. I am happy. I turned everyday page to find something apt for me but couldn't find much.
Ufff! This book is not for me.

Great book with great tools for success/wealth/happiness by great individuals. Good insight.

There were parts I really liked, and parts I didn't care for. Overall, I thought it was too long. I probably would have liked it better if I had followed the author's instructions to "skip liberally" and not "suffer through anything." I'm just not wired that way.

Filled with bits of wisdom, this book is great if you are looking for a way to rise above. While I do not feel that my personal motivations mirror those of the titans in the book, and I find that sometimes my priorities are different, I still found this book to be filled with great bits of advice and wisdom.

This was...okay. I'm not going to rate it because I don't think this kind of book needs one (2/5 if I'm completely honest).

I skipped some of the chapters/interviews (around 200 pages I think or more) because I'd rather read something else and it's not fair for the book or the people in it & the author.

Thanks God I underlined some quotes what was interesting (The awesome jar part), I don't want to read it again, it's time consuming and I'm not gonna waste any, I'm sorry.

Would I recommend it? Nah. There are better books out there.

Excellent advice, routines, products, systems, etc. from the best of the best. I will reread this every 1-3 years.

Mixed bag

I got a few new ideas and concepts from its book and had many more concepts I already knew reinforced. I also enjoyed when Tim Ferris inserted his own thoughts and practices The book is definitely worth reading. My criticism is that I feel many of the people written about could have been left out as they didn't really add any valuable insight. Some seemed to be added because Tim Ferris wanted to show he knew people across a range of professions or he didn't want to offend someone he might want to invite on his podcast again. While there are many good things to take from the book there were to many people that added very little and made the book longer than it needed to be.

I have very mixed feelings about Tim Ferriss and his work, and this book is no exception. While it is easy to read and does contain good advice, I didn't really feel that any of the advice is groundbreaking - it's just that the people giving it have had the intestinal fortitude to actually use this advice while most people would just rather not expend the effort. So, yes, this is an informational and inspiring book, and many of the people profiled have interesting stories.
However, as much as I have to admit that I've learned about some cool stuff from Ferriss (in particular, Tim Kreider) something about him sets my teeth on edge - I think it is the endless, all-consuming obsession with himself that takes away from the message he is trying to get out there. Having a specific schedule of when and which psychedelic drugs to take, mainly just because he can, takes the narcissism too far.

Excellent resource for lots of bits of advice and wisdom, culled from Tim Ferriss' podcast. I want to get my own copy for myself as it is something you could refer back to for inspiration time and again.
