The mutual stalking was cute but I don't know (so no rating). Maybe I wasn't in the right set of mind because it was meh.

The funniest book I've ever read. It's like this was tailored to my sense of humor. It was a short and light-hearted read, while still being very interesting. I can't wait for more in this series.

Well that was somethig

Well, I can honestly say that I have never read a book quite like this one. This book was pure and utter chaos in the best way possible. It's a fun, quick read and a fun way to introduce you to the author if you have not come across their work prior.

So, I mean I'd heard a lot of really good reviews about this one, but just.. no. Sat on nope mountain, waving a crown of nope. This was totally in at number one in contenders so far for 2023’s ‘Not the book, but not for me’ category.
I mean I know it was meant to be crack! fiction, or, I *assume so* because if not then my GOD what were they smoking when they wrote it and can I have some?! But also more to the point what have the reviewers on Goodreads been smoking for it to have a 4.38 rating
The 4th wall breaks in themselves as a concept wouldn't have been a problem, as a *concept* but it was just what the MC was *saying* that was the issue.
The only way I can think to describe the MC is - imagine if you went into an evil geniuses lab, and found the craziest squirrel that was running in circles, biting its tail, looking almost rabid. Then you transposed its brain into a human, and-without taking that rabid nature away-injected genius serum and trained it to fall for someone to obsessive levels.
Now I’m told the author would enjoy this description of their MC. I hope they would, I don’t mean any offense, the character has just been left in the microwave a few seconds too long on ‘nuts’ setting, that’s all…

A Really Gay Book is 116 pages of joy. As the subtitle says, this is not remotely about Christmas, but it’s still a damn gift. Unwrap it today.

Apple is ridiculously lucky (his luck is as ridiculous as his name), but even with that, he still manages to bump into Adam … whose luck is as bad as Apple’s is good. These two irresistible forces are drawn together, and hilarity and love ensues. There is snark (so much) and steam, and just about everything you could want — including some delightful side characters who are clearly going to give us the next books in this A Really Gay Villain Christmas series.

Don’t miss out on these supervillains in the making! I loved this over-the-top story, and Adam and Apple had my heart by the end. I can’t wait for the next installment. Definitely recommend.

This was such a fun book to listen to! It's full of Insta-Everything, Silliness, Steam, Good-Bad Guys, Good/Bad Luck, and good stalking (it actually is.) Plus Puns... think, Apple and Adam...

Plus, the Narration by Zachary Zaba was on point. He brings the characters and the world to life, infusing thim with all of the things that make this such a fun read.

I highly recommend people read this "for the sake of Pancakes."

While this book is really more of a 3 star book, I added on a bit to help myself remember that the series has promise, and to read the third when it comes out.
