A novel of Edwardian England wonderfully written to portray English society of the period. In this work the author takes three separate family units and intertwines their stories. Everything comes to a head in Howards End in the final pages of the work and above all, the quote “Love is unconditional” aptly fits in. I thought the author gave much depth and variety to his characters, all together it was a interesting and very enjoyable novel.

A quintessential novel of manners. So sad it did not enter my life til now. There's a part where E.M. Forster throws down sexist hypocrisy and it is AWESOME.

Ugh, I am so glad this is over. In my goal to read the "classics," I added this to my to-read list. I liked A Room with A View so I thought I would dig this one.

Halfway through the book, I realized I had even watched the movie for this book, but couldn't remember what happened. I believed I blocked the boredom out. Nothing really happens in this book. It is that Eddie Izzard skit about British people moving books around a bookshelf in the movies. The whole plot revolves around what house people have placed their furniture. The characters are also tiresome and you don't root for any of them.
