She is beauty and ecstasy. She is everything I've been missing. She is life itself.

4.5 stars!

I've been waiting for this book for a long time since the release of book two last year, and I was not disappointed by Rafe and Adele's story! Their love story was a delicious and sexy slow-burn romance between a headstrong alpha wolf struggling to protect his pack and an independent woman who's trying to put her life back together. There was great banter and chemistry between Rafe and Adele, and I cannot wait for Tabitha and Gabriel's story! ♡

I am liking this series, however, the only gripe I have is that the series seems to be running consecutively, not concurrently. I felt like there was an important setup missing from the beginning of the book. I would have liked to have to know why Adele and Rafe were stand-offish with each other at the beginning of the book, what had happened between them since the first sighting in the plaza especially since her friends were dating his friends.

This was a new to me author so I was really interested, enjoyed the story, and plan to go back to read the others. Rafe is the alpha who hasn’t found his mate yet and at times seeing his other pack members with their mates kind of made him want to find his yet also he was ok with not finding her yet. He was strong, smart, exactly what an alpha should be so when Adele comes to him looking for a job until she can get her bakery back running he feels something towards her but he refuses to acknowledge it. Adele is a strong willed, hardworking woman who isn’t afraid to go after what she wants or tell it like it is. Rafe and Adele butt heads a lot because they were both so stubborn but knew what they wanted even if they ignored their attraction to each other. The book was a lot of them going back and forth fighting their feelings until they just can’t anymore. The mystery surrounding them both was intriguing yet at some point it was a tad confusing and left me with some questions that maybe the next book will answer. Overall a good read and I will continue to read more.

Rafe and Adele - a swoony alpha shifter love story

This is the third book in the Shifter Ops series and they just keep getting better. Rafe is a wolf shifter and the alpha of his pack. Adele is a chocolatier whose business recently ran into financial issues because of her drug addict partner. She desperately needs money to reopen and Rafe offers her a private chef position. Adele and Rafe know each other because her best friends are mated to Rafe’s packmates but Adele does not know they are shifters. Rafe and Adele have crazy chemistry but they also have a lot of animosity. Rafe and Adele’s struggle to find love and navigate their individual paths as well as their path together in the midst of the continuing conflict with Dieter, wolf instincts, team expectations, Adele’s independence, past trauma, and family dynamics will give you all the feels. This book has a little bit of everything - sweet moments, strong friendships, sexy times, real life issues, imperfect characters, high stress situations, laugh out loud moments, dangerous situations, and swoony shifter love. I will definitely keep reading more of this series.

A quick fun and steamy read.
I really adored Antonio. I didn’t see him as the monster he saw himself as.
The monster was King. Couldn’t stand that man.
Dahlia is sheltered and was raised to be seen and not heard. So I get why she is the way she is.
But i absolutely abhorred what she did towards the end. Her actions lead to ugly consequences.
I loved how Antonio treated her. How he slowly started showing her her worth.
And how he appreciated everything about her even the things her parents did not appreciate.
This was a good story that had me occupied for a few hours. And left me feeling happy.

Ekkkkks a new series by the amazing Renee Rose. The Yacht King was amazing. Dahlia has her debt ball and wants nothing to do with it. When she meets Antonio everything she to be going well till her parents find out. Seven years later he is all for revenge. This book was a quick read and wanting more. I can't wait for more in this world.
