A bit more of a return to form than the previous handful of books with two strong parallel plots which meet nicely at the end. However, one strand remained unfinished and it felt like the author couldn't be bothered finishing it off - an external agency is hunting for Reacher, but they just go away, revenge undelivered. But, that being said, much better and I read it in just a couple of days.

Back to his best after a lull in quality a few books back in the series.

Jack Reacher shows up in a new town, kicks ass. He gets in trouble, makes friends with a female authority figure, kicks some more ass. He tries to leave town, but finds somebody who needs rescuing. Then he kicks more ass. And, by the way, he learned some more about his family history. This may be the plot of every one of these novels, but it still kept me reading.

Jack Reacher is always wrapped in action, making these books very interesting to me. I have been in on his adventures from the start and have enjoyed them immensely. Great read.

A little slow to get going, but Reacher was powerful and slick, and the story had a satisfying conclusion. I'd forgotten how distinctive Child's writing is - brief, snappy and masculine.
Reacher continues to please.

Very cool Reacher story. Almost 3 different storylines wrapped up into one. A bit more of Reachers family history is revealed as well.

This one stretches the limits of belief, not only because reacher doesn’t have a lead female to temporarily shack up with
