As someone with complex trama and ptsd, fear has been something I struggle with. This book doesn't tell you to be fearless. The author recognizes that that just isn't realistic for anyone. What she does do is give you tools to help you feel more prepared and safe. Some things I had heard before, others I had not, but all good nonetheless. This is a book I'll probably read again.

I thought she had a lot of very inspiring and interesting thoughts on being self sufficient and preparedness.

A few times I had serious skepticism into some major beliefs that weren’t backed up by facts. I enjoyed it still.

Absolutely loved the mini podcast episodes thrown in, since it was audio book form.

I enjoyed this book, pretty breezy read. I got a little annoyed with the authors lack of humility, I think a dash of self deprecation would have gone a long way in making it more enjoyable, but I do appreciate that there was a lot of practical and actionable items throughout. It wasn’t just all fluff, which was my expectation going into it. So, not perfect, but solid.

Must go back and re-read all the parts I highlighted. I have to pull out the sections the boys need to read and the parts I need to copy and put on my walls.
