Oh WOW 3.5

i've tried reading this five times since i got it in august 2024 to better understand the mind of a dear-to-me person at that time, but the words are tangibly going through my head and i retain nothing but the little wows and ohs. i still don't know what string theory is, what is the Schrödinger's cat thingy, and what the hell are the physicists doing, and you know what? Big Bang Theory is enough for me; that's the closest i am willing to get to physics in the next couple of years.

Very intriguing concepts

I am not a physicist but I love science explained well. This book pushed against the edges of what I could understand without losing my attention which made for a very engaging and informative read.

An engaging journey through the history of string theory and the foundational theories that preceded it. My one wish for pop-sci/math authors is for them to include the equations they're referencing on the page!

I appreciated how Kaku navigated the history, both of the individuals and of the theories, to build towards what a theory of everything would look like. Highly recommend for those wishing to enrich their comprehensive of physics.

The final chapter seemed rarely unconclusive. The rest of the book, 5 STARS. Super informativeeeee
