Not super relevant to Secret Empire, but bonus points for Devil Dinosaur!

This was surprisingly great! I liked that it had some younger characters in it but was still on the more grown up side. It was a good reminder that not everything is light and easy all the time while still not making the book to dark and heavy. Like bad sh*t is happening, and you need to live in that reality but you also can't lose your identity in it.

Set during the terrible Secret Empire story, author Matthew Rosenberg combines a handful of mostly Inhumans in a quest to take down Hydra Cap. The story was a little haphazard and already had the Secret Empire connection working on against it. I really enjoyed Rosenberg's Lunella, Dante, and Kamala but thought Quake was pretty cold. There were some cool elements here though. The art by Javier Garron was solid and I really enjoyed his fight scenes. Overall, the book was decent but had to much working against it.

Ever since Marvel decided to give the Inhumans the big push in their comic book line, we've had lots and lots of forgettable stories. Until this series. I'm blown away with the perfect balance between art, story and dialogues. The characters are fun to follow and each one stand in his and her own two feet.

I picked this up on a whim because I saw it had Daisy Johnson (can you tell I'm a big Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fan?) and it takes place during Captain America's "mental breakdown"? Even better.
Admittedly I've seen a few panels from this comic on the web, via Pinterest and Twitter but I was glad to have gotten some context for them.

Very cool story.

There might have been a good book in this somewhere. And that's even with the handicap of the Captain America is Hydra storyline. But too many out of order segments. And the whole darn thing is going to get reversed anyway, so why care? The random inhuman team does kind of work. And Ms. Marvel is mostly herself. Seeing the Agents of Shield in comic book form is still kind of weird. But I liked Daisy in this one. So it should have been a lot worse. 3.5 of 5.

Secret Empire tie-in. Read to catch up on all the Ms. Marvel stuff. It was fun to see Moon Girl but outside of that this is not the best comic. An easy skip in my book. Too much team arguing and Ms. Marvel (the only one I know outside of this) didn't feel like herself.

My rating system
1 - Did not enjoy
2 - Not irredeemable but has too many flaws to say I enjoyed
3 - Enjoyed it
4 - Great book but didn't love it
5 - Amazing book

Interesting enough. Worth a read just for Ms. Marvel and Lunella
