Short cute coming of age story about two best friends figuring things out. It’s mostly rainbows and unicorns type of cute which isn’t always bad. It was a very easy and short read that left me with a smile. It’s about two teenage girls Sam and Tash who have been best friends since they were kids and their excitement about prom. Sam who has been harboring feelings for her best friend hasn’t told her that she’s gay. Sam isn’t normally a prom kind of girl, but after finding the perfect suit, she works hard to buy it in order to create the perfect night for Tash who is going to the prom with default date.
The only downside is that this story is told in Sam’s perspective, so you get a story that’s highly in “teenage language” chalk full of prom-posals which I find a little ridiculous, but can be fun for most.
Over all: Fun, Light and Short.
I was given this book for a honest review by Less Than Three Press through Netgalley.

A cute little story. A bit flat though, but it’s hard to develop characters in only 30 pages.

Such a cute little YA story about a girl trying to take her best friend to prom! Also, the most relatable quote ever:
Pizza was simple. Pizza was all she could handle in that moment.
The story itself wasn't that special, but since it's only 35 pages and it's cute and it will fill your (sapphic) heart with joy you really don't have an excuse not to read it, imho.

Cute novellette of a girl who wants to take her girl to the prom, but is too shy to ask. Funny, true to life, with a good sense of voice for the narrator, Sam.
This would appeal to any gendered teen, who has been too shy to ask their crush to go to the prom.
Thanks to Netgalley for making this book available for an honest review

Cute but I think the author tried a bit too hard to sound like a teen.
