“She's a storm to me, and I get sucked in everytime. Since the first moment I laid eyes on her, I knew I wanted her. She has something about her that simply drew me in. I can't even pinpoint precisely what it is. But it's one hundred percent her.” ೃ ᡣ𐭩 .𖥔˚

ೃ — An easy five-star read! I absolutely ate this book up. I even read it in one sitting because I can't just put it down. The story follows Alaska who is a phone sex worker who strikes up an unusual relationship with Zuko, only ever speaking on the phone, they end up meeting one night at the bar where she works in, she recognizes his voice but he doesn't know it's her.
First of all, everything in this book screams perfection. Alaska and Zuko were a match made in heaven. I liked that they both have strong personalities which made them perfect for each other. Plus, Zuko was one of the hottest red flags in the entire fictional universe. The concept of the story was dark, but there were lots of moments that made me laugh. Also the touch her and you die trope and spicy scenes were out of this world.
Note: The story contains triggering contents, so please check trigger/content warnings and read at your own risk.

Alaska is strong and sassy, her character is well balanced. I am a goner for that.
Zuko is a literally a mafia beast. But it is a light mafia romance: the love interest is more important in the book.
The plot is too light and predictable.
The spice is really good though.
🌶🌶🌶.5/5
In conclusion, go for the character and the spice.

I LOVE the overall premise of the story though I feel like it could have been executed slightly better. This is one of those books that actually had me wishing it was longer so we could get more information about the couple as individuals...I feel like we barely breached the surface.
Originally I saw a summary of book 2, and finding out each book is about a different brother, I decided to dive into this series.
I look forward to reading about the twins and the women they fall for...and hopefully we'll get a book about their childhood bff...
