The twists had me. This story is fantastic. If feels realistic and provides a glimpse of the underbelly of an elite society. I love the obsession and the desire to do what was right.
I really liked seeing how the relationships changed and developed. I love that she was able to escape and grow into her own person before being dragged back. I think that time really saved her. I love that the FMC had a medical condition (allergies to celiac disease - wasn't clear). Each of the guys had such a trauma background and I love how they made their found family.
This is the first book I've read that I felt it was true polyamory. There is an essence of RH here, but since the guys also have a relationship, that's where I see the difference. It's unique and I appreciate that.
Don't read this book if you're looking for low to no spice. There's too much in this story around this topic that it doesn't make sense without it.
Highly recommend for any dark rom, mafia/secret society, and RH/poly.

dear lord - i devoured this book was i up till 3am to finish yes yes i was - the plot twist was incredible - their love my oh my - i loved every part it kept me on my toes - and the spiceee phew -- so good
I needed dark, unhinged, and way past morally gray MMC. This delivered on that not once, but three times! Thorne, Raven (Ven), and Kyron were all insane in their own individual ways and each had their own methods of inflicting pain (and pleasure). Even with their initial hatred though, none of them could avoid the pull Foxglove (Fox) noire had on them.
I loved the dynamic between the three guys and how two had an established *something* between them - always makes a why choose just a little sweeter when there's established mm in my opinion. It was pretty obvious though from the beginning that Fox was the perfect missing piece they didn't even realize they needed - the light to their dark.
Fox was both a badass but also seemed to crave the submissive side that she had been burying down deep. I liked how she eventually was able to give into that desire in different ways with each guy.
"I've become the monster's pet, who will happily stay put, even if the door to her cage is left wide open."
I loved that Kyron never hid his attraction to her - he was like the cinnamon roll psycho lol. Thorne was the "serious" one who held more secrets than he knew what to do with. & then Ven - oh man do I love this silent, haunted, psychopath! I wish we would have gotten more chapters from his POV to be honest, because the dynamic between him and each of the other main characters was great.
This is definitely a dark romance in terms of the MMC's actions and secondary story arc. While all three men are complete anti-heroes, we also learn the reason for their actions step from what they endured as kids.
Overall, this worked for the mood I was in, and I definitely recommend it to all my fellow dark romance, why choose fans. However, the ending felt a little rushed and for a decently size book - it felt like it could have used just a little more plot. Also, still think Fox was dumb to ever trust Thorne in the first place considering she had been on the run for years by then.
If you're new to dark romance or have any triggers, make sure to read the TW/CW from author - but yes, expect ALL the red flags.

In the words of a famous author “I am screaming, crying and throwing up!”
I was so excited to read this book! I have loved everything I’ve read from Elliot Rose! This one brought everything. Pour some water on yourself kind of heat.

I'm so sorry, this is such a petty reason but she didn't check the guy's ID before tattooing him. He wouldn't be stranger because she has to check his ID and have him complete paperwork. I know that's not important in a story, but it doesn't bode well for me.
Just wasn’t for me anymore. Enjoyed it for as long as I was interested and then moved on to other books

200 pages in and nothing happened except for the mmcs kidnapping the fmc. speaking of her, she spent most of the time walking around the house she is a prisoner in and thinking how horny she is 🧍🏻♀️
also the mmcs are seeking revenge because the fmc’s dad did something to them but this is not an excuse to call her misogynistic slurs like slut and bitch
