It’s odd that a book of such brevity should take so much time to discuss the unfounded (and ridiculous) claim that William Shakespeare didn’t write Shakespeare.
Instead I’d recommend Bill Bryson’s Shakespeare. Not only is it slim, and better researched, it’s a damn sight better written book on Shakespeare than this one.
