I love a good themed anthology, and this one had some authors I know I enjoy (E.M. Lindsey and Cora Rose, in particular) and it’s always a good way to check out new authors. As usual not all of them totally stuck with me, quick select thoughts below (and why I didn’t do an overall star rating).

I had already read Halo, also by E.M. Lindsey, and it was fun to see how Adam and Magnus got together.

Texas Snow by Kelly Fox was a surprise to me that I liked it so much, but I guess the disillusioned cop x felon worked for me. I liked the writing style quite a bit and will look into full length books.

Christmas Pipe Dream was pure sweetness between Owen and Rory. I loved that they both got so flustered around each other and even though it led to a little miscommunication it was only to try to prevent the other from being uncomfortable.

The Holidate Rescue did a solid job of packing in one-sided enemies to a short story, although the Lumberjack character(?) was a bit much. I liked seeing Ronny and his brothers and how we was so in on Marshall even if Marshall didn’t recognize it.

Like most anthologies it's hard to rate because the stories are uneven. Some were good, even great, others were a miss for me. But it was worth the read for some light holiday fluff. Plus it's benefit's a trans group so win/win.

 This review is only for Merry Scroogemas by Kiki Clark.

This was a sweet and short story about two men getting snowed in together. West gets lost in a snowstorm and ends up crashing his car. Ashley rescues him and gives him a place to stay, even though he prefers to stay isolated. Ashley and West had a very sweet little story that I enjoyed. It was a bit short so there wasn’t a lot of depth or build up to their relationship but I still enjoyed it.
TW: toxic boss; car accident;  grief over past death of parents in a car crash; PTSD;

I love anthologies like this. I've read a few since first discovering them a few years ago,  and I can never get enough.

Snowed In has the benefit of donating all the proceeds to Advocates for Trans Equality (A4TE), so not only do I get to read some fantastic stories, but I know my contribution is going to an amazing cause.

I also get to enjoy a few very fun takes on the same trope - being snowed in over the holidays!! With any anthology, a couple of the stories didn't appeal to me as much as the others did, but they were all very fun regardless! I got to explore the writing styles of a couple new-to-me authors, while also relishing in the works of authors that have become staples on my digital shelves.

I really had a great time with Snowed In, and just in time for the holidays! I can be quite the Grinch this time of year (lots of family drama and trauma have made the holidays rather torturous some years). Being able to find little bits of enjoyment when I can eases the anxiety and the dread. And this anthology wad definitely way more than just a little bit of enjoyment.

Gabe and Edries are trying to escape to the mountains to escape real life for a little while but neither expected the resort to mess up their reservation and strand them in a cabin together during a snowstorm.⁣

An entertaining read about making the best of an awkward situation. I really enjoyed the banter between Gabe and Edries as well as the growth of their relationship throughout the story.⁣
