I pretty much devoured this over a very large bowl of ramen. Points given for parts that were actually a little frightening, even to a 23 year old, that made me furtively look around my room before I went to bed. Points lost for cheesiness. Over all pretty decent for a ya light horror novel

Raven's Gate by Anthony Horowitz is such an amazing read and the perfect way to begin a series. At first, I didn't really sympathize with Matt (The main protagonist) but as the story continued and his character changed and developed he was actually quite an interesting character with a pretty intense backstory. I love how it is such a short book (270 pages) but you are on the edge of your seat from the very beginning. If you are looking for an amazing Fantasy/Horror book then Raven's Gate is a fantastic choice I would highly recommend it.
