A deeply dark tale of a crime and it's ramifications over the years.

Lemon took me 2 weeks to read when it should have taken me 2 hours, which should tell you my thoughts. The book details the aftermath of a teenager Hae-on’s murder told from the perspective of a few different people from Hae-on’s circle. Usually I enjoy alternating POVs, but the issue with Lemon is that every character is written the same way, so without contextual clues it’s impossible to figure out who is talking. I found I was waiting for something, anything of note to happen but unfortunately it wound up being a whole load of nothing in terms of plot, and the characters weren’t nearly interesting enough to carry the book on their own.

An unique perspective into the death of an 18 year old girl however, the POV I wanted more off was the one we got the least. While an interesting look at grief and privilege, at times this novella DRAGGED.
