Very atmospheric at first, but then Liam was introduced and I nearly stopped reading. His arrogance was positively infuriating!!

I’ve read this book so many times over the years, and it remains one of my favorites if only for the magical elements and Irish tales woven into it. Of the four Donovan books in the series, this is my second favorite because I live for broody, cranky magical males. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite storytellers, and rereading this was just what I needed at the moment!

I put off reading this book for a long time... Now I'm not sure why. I really enjoyed it. Liam is cousins with the rest of the Donovan's from the rest of the series. He's dark and brooding, while Rowan is sweet and innocent (at first, anyway). It's a fast read, and you do get to see the other characters from the first 3 books for a short period of time.

A sweet predictable book of love, magic, and finding your own path.
