While this novella reads like a fairy tale, it could have used an editor there are quite a few awkwardly worded passages and childishly written lines.

Ex:
<blockquote>'The count with a surprised scream fell to his knees as the blow struck him with a glancing blow to his legs.' </blockquote> (page 68)

With some better writing this could have been a really poignant story.
