This was harder to read than it should've been. It's more like a puzzle. Trying to figure out which words to insert to make sense of a sentence. Or having to change words completely. Probably the most typos I've ever seen in a single book.

Another great book with Betsy and Sinclair! It's two weeks before the wedding. There is a double funeral, and everyone starts to go missing. Betsy's best friend, Jess, is currently in the hospital undergoing chemo treatment.
With everyone else missing, Betsy has to try to figure out what has happened to her fiance and friends.

I really enjoyed this book. It was a nice change from the previous books in the series that started to annoy me.
I'm really curious about Betsy's baby brother and where the story might go with him. After the reaction of one of the werewolves to the baby, there is something about BabyJohn that isn't obvious to the characters yet.
I'm mildly annoyed that the author brought back the vampire hunter. I didn't miss him and hate that she set it up to bring him back to the fold. But he had a small roll in this book, so it was a very minor irritation (for now).

Is it strange that I like the book better without some of the characters? And yay for the Nick plot line! Finally!

This novel starts with a bang on the revelation that Betsy's dad and stepmonster have been killed in a car crash, leaving Betsy to mother BabyJon. Strange things start happening to her, and everyone around her starts to disappear. Betsy must prove her queen status by figuring this one out on her own, and she comes into some new powers along the way. Betsy proves herself again to be quite capable of taking care of things herself.

Not going to win any awards, but if you like vampires, werewolves, fiends, and ghosts, this is a fun and snarky read.
