This is a cute story, but sometimes the plot seems over dramatic to me. However, I love reading this series when I need to decompress from a dark, heavier book.

Ooo this was a little more than I anticipated! I think that there is a definite writing/plot pattern that’s beginning to take shape in the volume and I’m wondering if it will impact my enjoyment of the series. Overall, it’s cute. A little simplistic in it’s conflict resolution but it still works for the moment.

One thing that I'm really enjoying about this series is how every volume tells the story of a different person besides the main character herself. It's really nice to see a bit of depth in the people that interact with Mei and Yamato, they're not just empty shells occupying space in the story, specially because the story itself is focused on Mei's development and we barely scrape the surface of their social behavior. Also, being a shoujo manga, Say I Love You is a lot less mushier than I thought it would be, which is great! I never get tired to see some depth in a love story!
