I don’t know if there is a way to describe The Way of Kings, but if I were to try it would definitely include the words epic, astounding, and intense.

This book is all of those things and more. It is both a great story in its own right and also an amazing opening chapter to a giant series. It introduces us to a fantastic world full of complex characters, and I can’t wait to see where the series is going.

I don’t know how to describe this book, but I can say with confidence that I loved it. 4.5 stars

I love Brandon Sanderson, and I love the Stormlight Archive. This book has amazing characters and a compelling plot. It’s long and does drag at points, but what a ride.
Not where I would reccomend starting with Sanderson’s work, but still a book I deeply appreciate.

this was the best (fantasy) book i've ever read!!!!!

i literally could not put this down. i spend EVERY SECOND of my freetime reading this book. i forgot to eat, drink, sleep, live, because all that mattered was what happened next!!! i thought all of the people praising Brandon Sanderson must be exaggerating, but somehow he made me read over 1000 pages in just a few days and then immediately jump into another 1000 pages. i fear this might be my next hyperfixation...

6/5 stars honestly

It starts out slow, but it’s worth the time.

Even though I've had time to sit and think on this story I'm still at a loss for what I want to say. I think I'm going to leave it at: great world building, great characters, and the perfect way to end May.

Captivating. Great world building. Inspires me to get back into my own worldbuilding.
Wish there was a glossary or something with a names of people and places and how to say them. I think it would make the reading experience easier and more enjoyable for a wider audience.
