This was a decent read. There were too many people to keep up with and the chapters are like 20 pages long, which I don’t like, but other than that it wasn’t too bad. There are no major twists or anything so if that’s what you like then this book probably isn’t for you.

It took a bit to get started with the interesting part of the plot, where they get stranded on the island, although there was tons of foreshadowing leading up to it.  Once it was going though, I was in.  The vibes were too good not to be.  I was truthfully a bit frightened and creeped out.  There was so much tension between the characters' actions, the lack of supplies, the storm.  In some thrillers there is an obvious solution or action that the characters should take, like calling the police or something, which makes the plot a little more unbelievable, but not in this one.  I found the behind the scenes of reality TV element really cool, especially since it was reality TV gone wrong.  One element I didn't care for was the romance between Lyla and Nico (it can barely be called a romance).  I just couldn't stand Nico, which I know is kind of the point, but I just hated reading about him in general.
