This is book one of the series and I'm sure i own the next one in the series too, or if i don't, I'm pretty sure I saw a copy at work that I could nab.
Ooh..I like with real life psychologists write a book, cause you know there's something about their career that intertwines perfectly with a thriller.
Well, I can't remember the last time I've been disgusted in a book. Within the first 20 pages, it reminded me of the TV series Hannibal, with its graphic details of murders. Sitting on the train and reading the first two victims deaths, almost got me vomiting.
But I carried on, even if my face was srunched up in disgust.
This book is very heavy with crime, it's a psychological thriller, written by someone whose got experience in the field of crime.
Chapped 63/64 just became too much for me. Reading those two chapters mere minutes before my shift at work was wrong, I needed to breath and doing that at work ain't it.
At times crucifix killer weighs itself down with too much back story, but when you take that away, it hooks the audience in way to heavy. Leaves the reader gasping for air, choking on disgust and wanting us to figure out why the cops haven't done anything with their riddled clues.
Ooh..okay..now I'm hooked, let's see if I can find my next chris carter book that I own.

The Crucifix Killer is the first book in the Detective Robert Hunter series. Hunter has a new partner, Carlos Garcia. They are called to a murder scene. Hunter can't believe what he is seeing, he had an eerily close case like this years ago, but it's been closed.
I liked that Carter intertwined the old case with the new one. I was grabbed from the first page and the book got better the more I read. I will say, though, if you have a weak stomach don't read it or skip some parts. It was graphic and a little gory at times, but all in all a good book.
😊 Happy Reading 🙃
