All of my favorite things wrapped up in the dirty mouth of Theodore Thomas! This books was great, the inner monologue still kept driving the story line & I could wait to find out what would happen next! It ended with a great beautiful HFN but im so excited for the other stories! They’re gonna be great!!!

omg!! this book WAS. SO. GOOD.
it was a dark romance, so it already had my heart for it. but oh God. not only it had the dark & the romance, it had PLOT TWISTS TOO!
can we talk about Fallen? I loved her and she deserved to much better! I loved the way Theodore changes from being an idiot with her to help and take care of her in her hardest moment. also, the rules he sent to her? it was so much fun.
and Betty <3 ahhh she’s the baddest. I can’t wait to read her book, I already know I will love it!

Wow. Just. Wow.
When I say Play by the Rules is hot, I mean that this book is as hot as Mordor’s fires, the only thing hot enough to destroy The Ring! THAT’s what I mean!
Fwew. I’m sitting here still fanning myself after having finished reading Play by the Rules.
Play by the Rules is a book you never know you needed; but you absolutely DO need it!!
So, to begin with, I absolutely LOVE the cover of Play by the Rules. It stops and makes you think about what kind of book it’s going to be. Is it a murder book? Is it a dark themed book? Sacrifices? Rebirth from death? You’re never gonna know until you open that stunning cover and get sucked into the seductive, dark, thrilling world of Play by the Rules!!
Next, I am so enthralled by the intensity that is building and building and BUILDING between Fallon and Theo!! It starts off right away, and is never ending!! And you’re addicted to it. You want more and more, like a greedy little reader!!
As a fore-warning though, this book does have a content warning, and before you decide to read it, you need to make sure you’re educated about Play by the Rule’s content warnings!! I’m not bothered by any of them, but some can be triggering to certain people, and we don’t want that.
- Alcohol Use, Choking, Drug Use, Explicit Language, Explicit Physical Violence, Explicit Sexual Activity, Implied Sex Trafficking (Adult), Non-Con/Dub Con Implied, Physical Abuse from a Parent, Sexual Assault, Somnophilia. -
In the end, I am in love with this entire book. I wasn’t able to put it down, and didn’t want to even if I could. I’m excited for the next books in the series!!! I hope they’re just as hot and intense as Play by the Rules!!
I HIGHLY suggest this if you’re into some spicy spice!!
