The story and Chantal and Jean-Marc didn't touch me too much: no, it stayed just a story to me, even though beautifully written at times, it's definitely not Kundera's best work.
Chantal, being older, is said to be the weaker one in the relationship - it is this that triggers a series of anonymous letters sent to her by a secret admirer. However, the two keep misunderstanding each other and it is love that keeps them together when things go really wrong.

از یک چهارم آخر کتاب، جذابیتش رو به افول رفت ولی هم‌چنان یکی از روون‌ترین متن‌هایی بود که خوندم و دوستش دارم.

For the first time reading Kundera and I'm loving this even though I just started it.

"Not wanting to be wrong, Jean-Marc took meticulous care to verify that really had kept silent. When he was thoroughly certain, for a few minutes he felt immensely wounded; then he decided never to see F. again; and immediately thereafter he was gripped by a sense of relief, inexplicably joyful."

I'm ill. I picked this up mostly because it is short and closer than the other books I am reading, which were on my desk across the room. Sigh.

This is a 'nothing' book by Kundera. I read it in a few hours or something, and now have basically already forgotten it. The philosophy was weak, for Kundera. The plot was so-so. On the whole, an easy read but nothing to be impressed by. It's one, if not the, shortest novel by him. Probably for the best.
