I really enjoyed this book. It was realistic and deep. It was funny at times and better understood because it was told in two perspectives, disagreeing and agreeing in entertaining and interesting way. I definitely suggest it!

Maybe my fifth time reading?? This time on audio, which was lovely. Still love this delightful story just as much as the first time. FLIPPED is inarguably my favorite book of all time and has remained so since 2003 when I read it as a 7th grader. This story hits all the right marks, has aged with perfect grace (IMO), and is just exquisitely heartwarming in the most unforgettable way. If this timeless coming-of-age young love story doesn't leave a deep impression on you, you're probably dead. Can't recommend it highly enough!

A well written book about first crushes and family relationships that is good for 5th grade and up. Also a great Rob Reiner film.

Adorable book! Only thing to note is that the r-word is used to describe a person with a cognitive disability. It wasn't done cruelly, just the correct word at the time, but it's jarring to hear it in an audiobook in 2024. But this was a warm, wonderful book that I'd recommend!

i lLOVED THIS BOOK and the move ofcc, but the ending left me craving closure for juli, she didnt get the apology she deserved and bryce was a teenage boy. it was torture being in a teenage boys mind.

“What did a kiss feel like anyway? Somehow I Knew it wouldn’t be like the one I got from mom and dad at bedtime. The same species maybe, but radically different beast, to be sure”
“One´s character is set at an early age, son. The choices you make now will affect you for the rest of your life”
“Black skirt, black nails, black eyes- for a nocturnal rodent, yeah, I suppose she was looking good”
The first time I read this book I wasn’t into it, I think I was too young to understand what this book was trying to portray but now that I re read it I understand the message. This book is the perfect definition of how a story can have two points of view completely different and how we are oblivious of other people´s perspectives.
This was a fun short book that perfectly describes what it´s like to fall in love at a young age. I truly enjoyed it, there were parts were I actually laugh out loud and the baker family is pure goals. However, it think it was a bit superficial, I would have love to see the relationship grow and how the things would have changed have the characters been in high school.
Altogether, this book is a fun, short, non-repetitive read that moves along great but in my opinion lacks depth and detail.

By far my favorite book I have read with kids this year. Brings up so many great preteen/teen issues and I couldn't put it down!
