I don't know that I'm going to rush out and get another book in the troubleshooters series. They aren't bad, I like them. But they are slightly unrealistic.
OK, yeah, slightly might be an understatement.

Hooray! Max has finally admitted his feelings for Gina! But it’s too late. :-( Or is it? And Grady and Molly, too! Another good installment in the series that kept me interested in what would happen next. Now, if we can just get Jules paired off, I’ll be happy! Well… I’m sure there are others I want paired off, too… like Sophia and Decker (that has to happen, right?)...

From first read: I read this book before I read the previous book with all their background in it. I think it might've helped. I enjoyed the end. It's been a while since I read this book, so I'm trying to remember it all.

I loved this book. We get to see another side of Max - another one of my favorite characters - after he learns that Gina's name has shown up on a list of victims killed from a bombing in Germany. He heads off to Germany to identify her body, and Jules, being the wonderful employee/friend that he is, refuses to let him go alone. There they meet Grady, and the unlikely three take off to rescue both Gina and Molly from the man that kidnapped them.
Neither Max or Grady are easy people to love. Max holds himself in such control, keeping anyone from getting close. Grady has a history that he feels tainted him. It takes special women to love them, and that is why I love both Gina and Molly as female protagonists. They have incredible strength, putting up with all the crap both Max and Grady have put them through in the past.
And Jules. I could write a whole review just on Jules. I'm beginning to think I should have a Jules and/or Robin shelf because if there is a book with either of them in it, I will want to read it. Jules refuses to let Max go it alone. He'll take on any and all - including Max himself - to make sure that he is there for Max. I love his personality. When he is a friend or when things need a little lightness or humor, Jules is there with a quip or a "sweetie." But have a badass around that needs to be taken care of, Jules the FBI agent is there is spades.

I feel terrible! I feel terrible that I didn't enjoy this book nearly as much as I was hoping to.
I have been waiting and waiting for the Jones/Molly and Max/Gina book, but (for me) it just didn't live up to my anticipation. The first 60% of this installment was done mostly in flashbacks and it was like you were in a never ending prologue. Then, somewhere around the 60% mark all the action picked up, and it was harder to stop reading but... there wasn't an opportunity to really get into it.
I think I loved Cosmo's book so much, and I had such high hopes for this one, that it left me let down.
Oh well, next is Jenk, and then JULES!!!
