This book was so well written and left me wholly unsettled. Highly recommend!

Ashley Audrain does it again. A captivating page turner, this book makes you think you know what’s happening but is full of twists and turns, and you don’t know what actually happened until the very end.

I need her to never stop writing books.

Slow-building and well-written psychological thriller that I couldn't put down. And I figured out a big twist before the reveal and got to feel smug when I was right! I need to read The Push soon since I've heard it's even better than this book.

This one was a real SLOW burn for me. Ultimately, I thought it was a good look into motherhood and female friendship, but man, it took me a LONG time to get into it. I’m not usually big on trigger warnings for fear of spoiling the twists and turns of a story but TRIGGER WARNING. Particularly for those struggling with fertility or the loss of a child.

3.5 stars - entertaining, a little farfetched story about a bunch of kind of awful people. I really appreciated the author's presentation of so many perspectives and experiences of motherhood. I didn't always buy the depth of the relationships she was trying to present, and I'm not a huge fan of so many different POVs presented without structure. but I would read this author's work again for entertainment value.

This one was a lot of triggering things for a lot of people. There were affairs and miscarriages, it was traumatic and revolving around one woman's son who had fallen/jumped out a window and was in the hospital. 3 neighbor women and their friendship with each other as well as their frenemy status with each other.
