Whilst I have never had the fortune to have got to know anyone like the characters in About a Girl, they were all eminently plausible and reacted with each other and with the world in ways which made the story enjoyable. The text included many unusual terms which helped enormously in understanding the thoughts and feelings of the main protagonist and thus added to the delight in reading this tale.

Great fun, and perfect escapism

I loved this book. I can totally imagine sitting on the beach, sipping cocktails along with Tess, and laughing at the craziness that is her life. Perfect escapism - the sign of a great book!

A thoroughly enjoyable trashy easy read. Just what I expect from Lindsey Kelk. Hopefully the start of another series to rival the #IHeart books.

It’s been a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time since I read a girly book (not the proper term, I know) but I am trying to steer clear of the usual genres that I read for the time being. About A Girl was a fun detour. It’s an easy read, and it would be perfect holiday reading!
