What can I say about this addition to the Agatha Raisin series that I haven't said about previous titles? It's repetitive, and predictable. Agatha never seems to show any lasting character growth, and neither do any of her cohorts. Oh, and the title doesn't seem to relate to the story. And yet, to varying degrees, I still enjoy reading the books in the series. For true Agatha Raisin diehard fans.

ARC from netgalley. Typical Agatha Raisin. One thing that irritates me about this series-how on earth is Toni still only 19? There have been at least two Christmases since we first met Toni, she's had at least 6 boyfriends, been engaged more than once, Simon has been, gone, got engaged and almost married, divorced, and has come back again, still in love with Toni, Agatha has been engaged three times, at least, and married and divorced, Charles has also been engaged multiple times, and yet none of the characters have aged a day? And all those murders. It's like a little time warp in Carsley and Mircester.

I've kept up with Agatha Raisin through all her many adventures. Stylistically, I ought to find fault with these books. The POV jumps around. Sometimes there's more telling than showing.

And yet Agatha keeps right on detecting (though never quite aging) and I still enjoy reading these like I enjoy eating chocolate chip cookies with milk. They're not sophisticated or complicated, they are just good (and fun).

Had to give up on this book. Did not engage me at all. Felt the characters weren't likable. It is my first ever Agatha Raisin so going to give another a go and hope it was just this book that wasn't for me.

I enjoyed the progression of this latest book in the Agatha Raisin mystery series. In some of the books, there are more than a few tangents that have led me to lose track of The actual original mystery. I had started to feel that way in this book, with the continuing addition of murderers. However I feel that this book did tie all of those together quite well. I also enjoyed how the story didn’t end when the mystery was solved.
I enjoy seeing the character of Agatha realizing her intuitions are correct. As well as, learning how to read some of her more obscure feelings of woman’s intuition. I love how the author has led Agatha finally accept her maturity and see it as a blessing. And is allowing her to have and accept the softer side of feelings.
