They had a couple good moments but overall the feelings felt to fast and not in the fun way like lord scoundrels. Also I had a hard time with them been so u concerned while the kids were missing. Not the best parents vibes

Another enjoyable book in this series! I like that the hero and heroine were older than your typical historical romance leads, and the development of their love for each other was believable and sweet. The road trip they took together to find his runaway nephew and her runaway daughter was fun and put me in mind of other favorite road trip romances like [b:A Week to Be Wicked|11738128|A Week to Be Wicked (Spindle Cove, #2)|Tessa Dare|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1321335382l/11738128._SY75_.jpg|16687336] and the classic 1934 movie It Happened One Night. The secondary road trip, featuring the kids, was fun, too - the heroine's 12-year-old daughter's con artist tendencies and dramatic letters to the hero's nephew were very amusing. A romantic, sexy, funny and charming bit of escapism.

I know this is going to sound really bad on my part, but I cant get past the fact that the heroine's name is Bathsheba. I am sorry. Bathsheba, and Benedict. Bath and Ben.

I tried. I really did.

My favorite of this series, so far. I have two more to read, though.
