Got this on amazon for a couple of dollars, so I thought I'd give it a try. Plus, it takes place in my home town of Santa Cruz. It wasn't really my thing. There were 3 different story lines. I read the first 2, skipped the third. The book finished with the first people, so finished out that story.

The second in a series that centers around the occupants and owners of a beach house and its neighbors. Although Julia isn't in this book, but instead the owner of the neighbor home - Andrew is more or less the "main character" in this one, the author still provided perfect updates on Julia and most of the characters from the previous book.
Each of the new renters take a month during this book as well and they each have issues that they need to overcome and time away at a vacation home may help. I fell in love with each of the new renters and wasn't sad that the previous renters only showed up in little moments. I loved that Andrew's story took a majority of the story and he was a fantastic common thread to weave the previous book and this one together.

This was a good conclusion to her first book, The Beach House (which I loved). I did not enjoy the characters as much in this book, but it was still a very good story. I also enjoyed it because it takes place in one of my favorite places, Santa Cruz, California.
