I wanted more of this book. I thought the world was cool, I wanted to spend more time there, but the brevity of the book...the characters felt a bit thin. I hope she adds another book and fleshes out some of the characters.

This book is really well written, but pissed me off! The main character is very believable... Until the point of reversal in the book. It was rushed and without real emotion... Just punted me out of the book. A lot of deep allegory though... And sometimes the best books ... Piss you off. I think if the author had another 100 pages though this book would have been much better

Nice novella which I had a hard time getting into. It did feel like a novella set in a world where you've already read a book or two and know how things work. That's not the case. I was quite confused and also annoyed. The story managed to hook me after a bit though and I liked it. Yet the ending was super predictable and I found our protagonist to be quite gullible and annoying. But the atmosphere in the story was great. Would read more set in that universe! 3 stars

Easy quick read. Based on western and demons and the antihero trying to do right by her sister. I enjoyed it and a good break when you’ve been reading more intense books.
