i really liked this book, Sagan perfectly captured loneliness and boredom. I love her depictions of girlhood with all its complexities. However, the ending was anti climactic and rather disappointing.

Sally Rooney read this before writing Conversation with Friends, I'm sure of it. It's the same layout only more french and more heteronormative. I think it's good and fun and slightly provocative, especially considering that it's from the 50s, but way to patriarchal that i could have thoughtlessly enjoyed it.
