A quick and compelling enough read. I probably should have brushed up on the traditional Phaedra story first.

I didn’t find it as effective as some other retellings, though the night chorus was a good tool.

Really enjoying these imaginative retellings of classics from a female POV. In this case, it’s Phaedra retelling the story of Theseus slaying the Minotaur. A little uneven but I found it interesting and it rang true.

This book sucks. Boring, poorly written, slow and uninteresting. I felt that the language was too modern, and it took me out of the setting of Ancient Greece. I didn't like the characters, they were too two-dimensional and flat. The motives were unclear and the blurb led me to think the book would focus more on the trial, rather than every boring and mundane activity of the main character. The #metoo-theme this book obviously had felt SO forced. Such a disappointment!
